A thoughtfully designed single-storey residential development for a private client in Isuikwuato, Abia State — balancing functional family living with a strong sense of order, natural light, and durable construction.

Project Description

The Esike Nga Residence is a proposed single-storey family home situated in the heart of Isuikwuato LGA, Abia State. Designed to meet the lifestyle needs of a contemporary Nigerian household, the building brings together generous living spaces, multiple private bedroom suites, and a fluid connection between indoor and outdoor areas — most notably through a central open courtyard that anchors the plan.

The design prioritises security, comfort, and longevity. Thick sandcrete hollow block walls provide thermal mass suited to the local climate, while the long-span aluminium roof and robust hardwood timber structure ensure lasting performance with minimal maintenance. The layout is carefully zoned — public spaces such as the lounge, dining, and open kitchen flow naturally toward the verandah and courtyard, while the bedroom wings offer privacy and quiet for the family.

Large powder-coated aluminium casement windows fitted with tinted glazing and integrated mosquito netting allow the home to breathe freely while keeping the interior cool, bright, and protected. Security is addressed throughout, with solid security door sets at all key entry points.
